The space

The house is furnished in elegant style typical of the Amalfi Coast with air conditioning/heating throughout. Regrettably no children aged 10 or under.

First Floor: 22 external stairs down from street level to furnished terrace, entrance into living area with fireplace and TV.
Off the open space outside the living area is the kitchen (around 20 sq m): with a large single glass panel door facing the sea, the eat-in-kitchen has a wooden table that sits 6-8, an extra-spacious travertine sink, a backsplash of antique Neapolitan tiles, wooden and tile countertops, an American-size stainless steel refrigerator, a semi-professional stove, an electric oven and a dishwasher. The kitchen also has various espresso machines and a Melita coffee maker.
Two bedrooms: the master bedroom (approximately 19 sq m) has a 19th Century cast iron queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and balcony facing the sea; the wall opposite the bed has built in closets and a desk equipped with a computer with 24x7 access to the Internet, a printer and a fax machine. The second bedroom has double/twin bed and spacious en-suite bathroom with shower and a tub.

Downstairs: this floor is accessed via external stairs (22 steps down). Furnished terrace and door to double bedroom (around 15 sq m) with sea view, queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with tub and shower. Next to the bedroom, with its own access to the terrace and lovely view of the sea through a glass wall, the living room (approximately 40 sq m) is furnished with two white sofas. A large wooden dining table separates the living area from the open-plan kitchen area, which has a travertine marble sink, dishwasher, retro-style refrigerator and a handmade Vietri tile backsplash. Small shower room.

Third level: 22 external steps down to pool area, which is covered on the side towards the hill (assuring privacy from the overlooking house) and has an outside shower and a small fridge.

Facilities: swimming pool (5m x 10m, 1.6m deep), parking 700m away (extra charge), 25 hours maid service, linen change twice per week, DVD player, Hi-Fi system in all the rooms, telephone, ADSL line, dishwasher, utility room with washing machine and sink.

There is a little supermarket at about 600m from the villa
At around 1.5km from the house there is a coffee bar, restaurants, post office, the stop for the SITA bus that connect all the villages along the Amalfi coast etc.
The local mini-shuttle which runs from Praiano to the beach at La Praia and Positano, stops at about 400m from the villa.
Access: about 80 yards from the road, a pedestrian only walkway takes you to Villa Praiola.
